piston/rod question

Friend got some new rods and pistons, Eagle rods, CTR pistons, he tried to put them together, the rod will not fit in the piston. The rod is just a little to wide for the piston. Anyone have this problem? I never did that before, i just have my brother do all that shit, he is a mechanic, but he is gone.

So any help would be nice!

thankx

the CTR pistons are going into a JDM B16a Sir engine. The rods have ARP bolts in them already.

So he just has to get the Rods milled down a little on each side? Then it should be fine?

I got this off the old FF Squad website:

It basically illustrates what dragturbocivic said.

Hope that enlightens the situation for you.

Thankx for the info about the milling. I understand that. But what i am not sure about doing is.... Since the OEM CTR piston wrist pins are pressed in and my Eagle rods have a bushing. I need to have a machine shop cut C-clips to hold the wrist pins into place. Just kinda nervous about that. So the CTR pistons are up for sale. Unless somone can convince me into haven the wrist pins cut into the piston! Just don't want the c-clip or wrist pin to come out and piston rods make a big ass hole in my block!

It would be better to just buy some srp pistons cause they are only like $400 and they are meant for bushed rods.
