Problem with air compressor

Hey people, I had gotten my air compressor about over a year ago with warranty. It was working fine until a few months ago it wouldn't compress any air up to its max PSI (100) but the compressor would now max out at 60 PSI. I don't use it that much. When I first got it it would automatically cut off whenever it reached its max PSI. But now it will keep compressing but reach 60 PSI, I'm affraid I'll burn up the motor or prabably I have

It shuts off at about 110 PSI now its 60 and wants to keep compressing because it hasn't reached its max although in terms of leaking there could be nine other possibilities. I broke it down last night and the fuse breaker is useless now, everything else is fine. But I haven't heard leaks but I'll recheck again x2. I broke it down not too long ago and drained out some water with rust. I wasn't happy about that. The thing hasn't been touched since I had gotten it but once it started acting up I had to find out what was up with it.

The water and rust is normal. Depending on how often you use the compressor, you need to drain it often. I drain mine ever 3 days.

But it sounds like the check valve. There is a check valve inside of the compressor...could be dead.

I'll be getting a new one from a good manufacturer.

check valve, burst disc , and lack of draining in a humid environment, also did you ever check the oil in the comp assembly itself? you may have fried the compressor
