Question for ppl who have Black or dark colored cars
Hey what do you guys do to keep your car cool on very hot days...Im askin this cuz it was 106 today in Maryland and my Black 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe got hot as hell..even if it was parked in the shade and had the windows slightly open
do you guys do anything different then what i do to keep it cool? (except the tip of repainting the car to a lighter color)
As well what type of wax (brand ETC) do you use on your car as well as other stuff you use to keep it clean...
I have a black bike...today it was 100 degrees, the bike sat in the sun for 4 hours...i hopped on it with shorts...burnt my leg on the frame...burnt my hands leaning on the tank, and almost passed out at a red light...but still i enjoy riding so much..
Anyways, get a sun visor thingie for your windshield, tint your windows, leave it cracked...or find a tree to park under...watch out for bird nests, or else birds will shit all over ur car
try a sun shade for the front window to keep the sun from getting it, i always just keep my a/c about half way on and then use my car starter about 10 mins before i get off of work and let it cool it down
Oh and always keep the sunroof cover closed, that helps A LOT
ye i got that visor thingie...and i use it tho i got it from the dollar store its the same comapany and everything as the next door auto store :clap lol
as well as shade for a tree well its a huge parking lot im talking about and the employee's of the stores on the plaza can only park in the restricted area's and in those areas theirs like 1-2 trees per area...so i dunno were you guys live but shade moves were i live...like for example i park under the few trees their are later their wont be shade their so...
well, window tint, is still a good option. And seriously, it only takes a few minutes for the AC to chill it down. My AC isnt back in yet and I ran around all day today, with out much trouble.
