rank your best brands of power tools
i'm talking about mid to upper level brands...something the average middle class person can afford for home and hobby...
in no particular order i just want to name a couple and i'd like to see how you'd like to rank your favorite THREE...
makita
dewalt
hitachi
porter cable
ridgid
panasonic
milwaukee
craftsman
ryobi
other: fill in

Dewalt, Ingersol rand, and snap on. Thats All I have in my tool box with the exception of a few craftsman tools. The only reason I buy craftsman is because it is so easy to replace them at sears, otherwise I don't have to much love for them.

i was asking for power tools (electric or cordless) but your opinions on IR and snap on are appreciated...
i prefer craftsman hand tools over snap on just because of price...i don't think paying 3x the price for pretty much the same thing isn't worth it since i don't wrench all day...but my buds snap on tools are definitely nice stuff...
i've been noticing that IR dominates the pneumatics scene...their compressors are a top choice among pros and so are their tools...i've just noticed Chicago Pneumatics CP7740, only 2.7lbs, 6.3 inches and 500ftlbs of torque...only $210 on ebay...not bad...

I worked at Lowes for damn near two years. I got to know alot of contractors and 80 percent of them all used Dewalt. Ive also gone out to some of their work sites on delivery and they do awesome work, all with dewalt tools so thats the best imo.

i PREFER makita, but i use company tools so i dont destroy mine, ive worked with dewalt, makita, milwaulkee, etc.....pretty much all of them power tool wise, most of the company shit is dewalt, it is great stuff, if you think dewalt is mid level priced youre insane, pretty much all the stuff you listed off is high end stuff RYOBI, PANASONIC KAWASAKI, i would stay away from for heavy use, i recently was toying with a ryobi at home depot, it was light as shit, it had the EXACT look and feel of a chicago electric ( harbor freight) drill, i felt like it was the same drill rebadged anyways...bosch is heavy as shit so it will wear you out quicker, dewalts are great, makita batteries seem to last longer doing the same job, and unless you are going for light use dont ever buy a 9 volt dewalt, they die FAST!!!
