Second opinion
My friend and I are wanting to fabricate our own street-legal formula car. we agree on everything except the engine. I say to go for an H22, but he insists on using an Alfa or Porsche engine. My argument is availability and cost. I can get parts at factory cost, and i know that some things are harder to get than others. (took 2 months or so to get an engine for a jetta)
Street legal Formula One car? Ok IF and thats a BIG IF you could actually create an actual street legal formula one LOOKING car, I dont think you should be worrying about damn money. Next, if you're gonna put time and effort, dont waste your money on some half ass honda engine. You'll spend thousands of dollars just trying to get decent power. If money really is a concern, go build a small block Chevy. You'll have plenty of power at a cheap cost. Please let me know if by you mean "formula" car, you mean something besides an open wheel car.

i agree with this. why spend so much money and only get about average power? get something good. duh
i hope you were being sarcastic CRXpowerhouse when you said that.

by the way how much time and money has gone into this "street-legal F1 car"?
"street-legal"and "formula car" do not go together at all. I know the state would have issues about open wheel, and ride hieght. I know what you are looking for. Buy this and turbocharge it. you'll be the man on the street and the track.
What other "Honda" engine would you suggest, i only gave this opinion cause he mentioned the H22 "Honda" engine and I figure the C32 would be a better "Honda" engine choice if he were to pick a "Honda" engine. and I believe Hondas twin-turbo nsx dint do that bad in F1.

But anyways this thread is BS.
Honda in F1? HAHAHA
Honda will more than likely never be in F1.
