Spark plug life?

What are some signs that your plugs are going bad? I
know the Nissan's are long overdue, so I bought a set
just to make sure, but I'm not too anal with that car
about scheduled maintainence, except maybe oil.
Got some new wires, too; anything else? How long
does your average plug last? I bought the car with 27K
on it, and it's got 72K right now, so the plugs are
roughly 50K, (unless they're from the factory ).
Thanks for the replies, and, yes, I'm a mechanical
dumbass, for the most part.

i believe you normally change your plugs every 30k. you may also want to change out the o2 sensor and fuel filter as well.

you must get bored

if its a n/a engine, and a dd that doesn't see extreme conditions everytime it is ran then you can get 50-80k out of a set

I take them out every 20k and clean and regap in my dd

Well, it's hesitating on acceleration or under load,
(going up a hill, say), so maybe I'll get the fuel filter
too. It's fine when cruising though. The engine's a slug
to begin with: GA16DE, but the hesitation's bugging
me, since it's just started recently, and since I've
never done anything to it except oil changes and
two air filters, (the last one about a week ago). Aren't
o2 sensors expensive? IDK...my last emission's test
in April showed the car was running clean as shit.
What about a rotor cap? I gotta' find my Haynes
manual; damn mexicans threw it in a pile of shit in
the basement when they remodeled. Fuck!
Thanks for the replies.
