ok, this thread is for ALL of us, post wether or not u think u are rice, and explain why, post who u THINK is rice and explain why, post if u think u really got some knowledge bout the game, it can be car specific or the game in general, ill go first and hopefully pple will comprehend wat i mean.....


in general i know some things, from different car makes, but im no expert, im big on honda, i dont front bout knowin stuff i really DONT know...i think my monster tack is rice and my excuse for it being there is even worse(my dash tack no worky) however i will never sticker my car or paint it some off da wall color, my first upgrade ALWAYS is springs(good ones) so i ride real and no rice-cept for the tack- i rather be all no and look like shit, but preferrably look stock.. i cant really say some one else on sho might be rice cus i dont know no one like that

BUT i think most of the male mods are hard core in the game-and most of the pple in the prelude forum i think they pretty hardcore n the game too..

I dont think Im rice. I know a lot about hondas and performance theory, but I dont know as much as others on SHO. I only recently started doing my own mechanical work, so Im a n00b at that, Im learning though. I dont like badges or stickers of any kind (even oem badges need to go IMO). I only buy high quality parts for my cars, no ricer crap. go > show allmotor > boost 16s > 18s

Alright, fair enough.

I feel that I started out as confused as the average person, which means I went the route of Rice first. Difference is though, there are those cars that are just rice, then there are those that look rice and slowly, secretly, evolve into a work of art.

That's what happened with my car. It started out with crappy coilover sleeves, then 17" bling blang rims with mediocore tires. Finally I added in some adjustable shocks, but it was still riced out. Then the cold air intake, 4-1 header, and exhaust got thrown in the mix. Not so rice as far as engine bay mods went. The outside still wasn't gawdy though. 17's granted aren't the best for performance, nore the sleeves, but it was subtle, clean. No crazy body kit parts that were never painted.

Now I'm running 15" Si rims wrapped with Falken Azenis. I have some full coilovers on the way in the next couple of weeks. Brake setup kicks ass. 1.8 Liter DOHC swap in there . Of course the CAI, 98 spec 4-1 JDM header with 2.5" piping all the way back. I also got the EMS on there with UEGO, and it works! Learning how to tune that now. So all in all, I feel that my car has evolved, and I've had a lot of fun learning. So no...not rice.

i had one wiper and some heavy azz "ultra"rims on my 4door civic, i got guided the rite way, though, so that didnt last long, my endin product was 4 dr 92 civic wit the same rims, on potenzas nasty drop and a b18c1 wit skunk 2 stage 2 cams act stage 2 clutch..

I dont think I'm rice but I am not ashamed to say that I am a relative noob to imports.

my civic is the first import car,I have allways been into big body american cars(caddy devilles,olds delta and cut supreems,etc) but I was big into the whole lowrider and audio scene for a long time

being that I am a all around car nut I thought I'd take a stab at making a fast lil import for a change but I could not escape my big car tendencies(spelling) so that is why I ended up with a 4 door civic

I do have 17's on my car but have the OE tac and no stickers,wings,or attention grabing lights of any kind

I would consider myself a ricer to an extent, I'd never want graphics or ahuge spoiler but initially I wanted the rex to look USDM stock,(like a sleeper). But as a save up money for an engine swap I feel its pointless to go fast but look slow.

So for the part were I get flamed for being a Ricer I ultimately want my car to look like a Type R. I mean the championship white paint, CF lip and hood, red recaro seats and bronze rims.
But I will definately NOT put THOSE Ridiculous Type R stickers cause my rex is an Si and it doesnt hang like that. I am comtemplating putting those stickers the newer Si have the DOHC ***** sticker only once I have the swap done.

Yeah the CR-X SiR came with the first generation B16a, but they never came with the DOHC sticker.

what can I say? at the moment i feel like a ricer (in my stang haha) because of the stickers/decals/neons left from the previous owner....... but i don't think that's my fault, i'm removing "jeg's" "summit racing" "stinger" stickers and a nice big ol purple pony on the back window now, along with a neon shift knob, cd player surround and license plate frame (all hardwired into the electrical system) ... i debadged the puppy no more "5.0" and "Mustang" emblems on it, so yes to a point, my car may be considered rice to some... but not for long (can only remove soo much junk at one time) .... i guess since were being honest i was once enthused by the riceboy crowd, i thought wild paint, big body kits, 17's and up on civics, and wings.... omg i hated that stage, if i had only known back then what i do now

i love girls that mod their cars , haha but i don't consider u rice and i'm sure most people here wouldn't, it's people that put gawdy, cheap shit on their cars that are considered rice by most welcome to SHO

Used to be rice 5 years back *shudders*. JC whitney, APC, huge tips on a stock muffler, you name it. If it was garbage and flat out tacky and tasteless, i had it on my 90/95 accords . I think i may have even had a Nismo and TRD racing stickers on the 90 accord just to illustrate how rice/far/ugly/crazy things really got.

96 civic, 99 accord, 94 GT, and 98 z28 are/were 100% rice free i'm proud to say.
