I usually get Hess. I try to stay away from mobile/exxon stations because they are usually the most expensive.

I pull in wherever I'm close to that has gas, Usually go to Shell or Sonoco and run 94 octane exclusively :evil...cause even running 94 octane...its gonna take tuning with 12:8:1 C/R or so

the highest widley available octane here in cali is 91...we have some isolated places that have it higher...like beverly hills and near the beaches where ferrari's normally cruise....but inland where i'm from, there's only one 76 that offers 100 octane fuel and almost $4/gal :eek
so on the mr-s (10:1 cr) i'm on either 89 or 91 octane depending on where i'm getting my gas and also how much flow i got on me...i can use 87 without knocking (awesome knock sensors on these newer cars), but the timing is automatically retarded too much and i get a little less kick and a lower redline
on the h22 accord, i'm on 91 all the time...no matter what.
for the longest time, the only gas station near my house was mobil. they finally built a shell and chevron within a few meters of each other, so i go to either one of those.

not worth paying higher price for the same octane
I know I am just a newbie on the forum. However, I am very well rehearsed in this subject. Gas, is very closely regulated by the government, obviously because of pollution. After each shipment is tested by regulatory agencies, to governmental standard nothing else can be taken away or added to the gas, so gas at any station is the same given the same octane.

so why does BP advertise double the detergents in there gas, cecause it supposedly "cleans" your engine....i would rather have gas with no alcohol in it...only a few places by me sell it though

gas
The only closest gas station by my house that pretty decent is racetrac. i do quite a bit of driving for school and work so it serves me well . too many other rinky dinky places close by but it dont trust them. 87 oct it at about $1.65 and 93 is at about $1.85. but I know the prices are going to higher in the next few weeks since they announced that they are not going to work on getting more oil...and race tac states that if you have fuel related problems while using their gas they will take care of the repair bill ..no idea if that a good thing
