ethanol is an alcohol substance isn't it? Cars are not standardized to take gaso-hol... (gas with alcohol) that would be bad...

It's an additive in all gasoline, but the problem with shell is their oil comes with a high sulfur content as it is. regardless of whether it's added or not, the gas is bad gasoline. I am not sure where they import their gas from but this is an ongoing project that they're working on. I know that they have had many barrels of contaminated oil that they've processed (maybe accidentally) in the past containing HIGH amounts of sulfur. I just advised all to be careful with shell gas... just as he advised me. i mean hell he has a gas card for free gas from any shell station, and has never used it and he's worked there for over 30 years.

Hell...tell that dude to sell that card on e-bay, I'll bid !
I love Shell gas; haven't tried the "V-Power" stuff, though.
Sounds like a marketing gimmick, anyway .

i usually run 76 92 octane, but that wasnt on the poll. but i have found it is good to switch gas every couple fillups. cause diff companys use diff detergents in their gas, so use a few of them, ie chevron, 76, texaco, and you will get all the stuff offered

i always use shell v-power. i've never tried anything else, so i wouldn't know about other brands. i heard that your car runs the best when you consitantly use the same brand, same octane. while frequently changing brands isn't destructive, it just makes it unhappy. kinda like when your out drinking one night and stop a whities = unhappy stomach!

for the past 7 years ive been using shell and 76. i have never ever tried anything else. every 10k miles i would switch from either of those two. right now im trying the v-power from shell.. and i don't feel any difference at all. however whenever i use 76 it seems like my car has a little more kick to it.

hmmm. but after reading some of the posts it seems like there has been some trouble with shell gasoline. even though it never caused any problems i think its good to know.. perhaps i should try some othe gas.. perhaps mobile....
by the way, in cali we only get the horse piss (91octane)

76 is great gas, they have 100 octane by my house. At least gas is not as expensive as water $1.00 for 16 oz. That is how a rationalize my gas bill at the end of the month. As for track gas I am not sure about the sunoco gas it seems to eat fuel lines, I think I liked VP better. Anything is better then the
