Mods: stock but has E55 Bi-xenon projector HIDs on.
whats a good solution for washing valvetrain parts?
I tore apart my h22a1 head and now i need to wash the parts like cams, rocker arms, etc..
what can i use in the back yard or in my sink? basic dishwasher degrent? or what?

I've always seen people clean parts with paint thinner. DO NOT use your sink, you'll have a nasty ass grease ring that will take forever to get off.

or carb cleaner
or starting fluid
anytime you have strange goo, one of these three will take it off

Mods: seattle seahawks liscense plate frame
brake kleen or if you have access to a solvent tank and some scotch brite pads, i would use that

That is what i always use back home in MN.. I'm here in NY for college right now, with only basic and some speciality tools and a small garage.

Carb cleaner usually leaves a film on stuff.

yea, access to that stuff is nice, but since you dont have it, i would just use some clean rags and a few cans of brake kleen

i used to use brake kleen on everything for cleaning when its something on the car and it works great good for the shop use but at home its too expensive for me to spray 2 bucks in 30 secs
. but if its something off the car solvent tanks work wonders just leave it in the tank and soak it for maybe 20 mins and take it out and damn it gets clean
