Who has a G-Tech pro I / II
Who has a G-Tech pro I or II. How many of you have tested it both on and off the track. How accurate is it for you?
Have any of you tried it at odd times. Like real late at night when the air is real cool & tracks are closed....

my friend has one and we use it for 0-60s all the time...usually late at night...i think its close to being accurate but if you shift hard and the meter gets unlevel i think it distorts the time....

Mods: stock but has E55 Bi-xenon projector HIDs on.
I have used the Gtech PRO, not the competion one, and also the Beltronics Vector FX1.
i cant really tell which one i like the best. I dont know which one is more accurate. The beltronics has more features than the Gtech PRO , but i assume the competion one will be better than the FX1.
Mods: bronze TSW vx1 rims, yoko AVS ES100 205/50zr15, neuspeed strut brace, oem body kit, eibach/KYB susp. under hood: wouldn't you like to know?
i have an HKS type 1 turbo timer which has 60ft, 1/8, 1/4 mile, and 0-60mph timers on it. i would assume it's fairly accurate for 1/4mile, maybe even 1/8 and 0-60, but because it reads directly off the speedo wire at the ecu, it calculates distance travelled base on wheel revolutions just like the speedo does, so 60ft times are useless because wheelspin throws it off so much. the first time i tried it on winter tires i ran a 2.2, then a 1.9. then i noticed the faster i spun the tires, the lower my times were .
can't wait to try it at the track this summer and see how accurate it is!

I tried a run at 4 in the morning long time ago when it was very cold. With a friend in car. Ran a 13.5, never can even get close to that during the day.
Was wondering if the air quality and temp can really effect things like that. Wondering if others have tried the same.

Yea def the colder the better (assuming your engine has warmed up all the way). I used my friend's GTech I a couple years ago late at night, but I dont know how accurate it was. All I know is that I was doing a 0-60 test on a 40 mph road (it was looong and straight) that night when it was pretty cold, then hit the brakes hard to slow down afterwards and warped my rotors :bh . So never a good idea to hit *cold* brakes hard like that...

i have a competition, i did a total of eight runs at night one time, and it was also a brand new clean road, and i got an average of 15.9 and then i went to a temporary track on an airport in the daytime and the pavement wasnt that good of quality, i did a 16.7 16.5 and 16.3, not very concistent, but the differences in the two area's i'd think would make the diff. i think its farely accuarate for sure.

Also sometimes its easier to hook up on the street....plus your a bit calmer. The track kinda throws things off...and its either grip well or spin well.
