200WHP?
Hey, I was wondering what you guys thought it would take to get a 92 Civic Hatch to 200WHP. I want to do all motor, but I open for options. Maybe all motor, high compression, and spray. I don't know though. What do you guys think?

impossible without n2o. the most all motor you may get is 150whp maybe. and thats is a feat in itself. if you were to just do all your boltons, then a cam designed for n2o application and tune the car for it, you can get there.
IMO you could do turbo and have it more reliable and you'd have power all the time instead of just when you hold a botton.

not gonna happen with a na D series. if you wanna hit 200whp NA, you gotta swap it.

boost is the only option... the little 1.5L in that car won't make good power. Is it even a 16 valve motor?
Your best bet would be putting in a d16z6 motor with a small turbo running 6-8lbs of boost. It should get you very close to your goal and be very reliable.

what would be the highest you could go without boosting? like just NA parts only...but still keepin the engine reliable...like i know u could swap out pistons for compression issues but that wears on the engine...i mean how far could the engine go with just bolt ons...or does it get to a point where the bolt ons just become a longer lasting 150whp rather than an engine raping 200whp...

no offense but this question is pointless. it depends how smart you are and how much money you have. at a certain point it's more cost effective to boost.....like from the beginning high hp n/a and boost have equal reliability. it comes down to how much research you do and how much money you have. boost will give you your goal faster and cheaper. you'll reach your streetablility limit faster with n/a.
