I have a 92-95 intake manifold and would like to put it on my y8 head and Im getting a obd-1 ecu with harness so I was wondering if that would work or not.

is your car auto or manual? and why would you change the y8 IM. it is just as good if not better than the z6 IM

ah i see. but i think the z6 IM will not flow as well as the y8 one would.
wait a sec.....you have the y8 head.....what ecu are you running that allows you to use vtec and the 3 wire IACV

and you don't have the IACV hooked up???? or are you using the p2e ecu with the vtec head and just driving slow.
right now I melted my #1 piston so its not going anywhere and I got a new block so I wanted to switch the head and im. the car is not gonna even attempt to start till I get the new ecu. Now that I think about it I might just keep the non-vtec head on cause my compression will be lower and easier to tune.
