tech wrench adjusting D16z6 compression

I just finished on my mini me swap and my head was giving me a low compression test # (all four was 150 PSI)...i was wondering how do you adjust the compression so that it will reach 180 or 170 psi ......thanks

Sorry my bad, you should have higher compression than the d16z6. Maybe you're timing belt alignment if off.

Maybe your head is warped and the gasket is leaking? Did you check for warpeage?

You can't really adjust the compression with a sohc, that's the problem, the overlap is built into the cam.

With that setup I've heard of them testing at like 180psi per cylinder. I've never done a mini-me myself. If you're getting low compression, then either your timing is off or you have a compression leak. Or valves are staying open, maybe. Did you rebuild the head or get it from a working engine?
