which proves my point. you aren't paying to make power with gt series turbos but response and driveability. laggy turbos don't matter so much with drag racing but on the street they make a huge differene. and what are the specs on your t3/t4 turbo? like wheel specs etc. and so you guys can have an idea of the differences of the two turbos. go to evan's tuning website so you can see what a dynograph of a gt28rs on a b18c1 looks like.

because i care more about usuable power band as opposed to peak whp at stratospheric rpms like most honda boys
gt28rs 10 psi at 2800 rpms
t3/t4 (previously stated) 10 psi at 5K+ rpms

trying to open up noob's eyes that there is more to life than t3/t4 turbos. they would actually be faster with a smaller turbo with less whp then waiting for the mofo to spool. me personally, i'm going with a t3/t4 stage 3 wheel for the sr. but i have a 2.0 and a motor designed for boost. and it will only be a 50 trim. my goal is responsive 350whp. i figure that and some step 1 cams with some tuning will be pretty nice

Very good point. I love having my 16g since it doesn't take forever to spool up.

exactly. i hear about all these turboed civics with 57 trim t3/t4 turbos on them  . a friend of mine has one on his 2000 si and the fucker doesn't even start to spool to almost 5 grand. he makes 260 ish whp on low boost and my 198whp 240sx beats him all the time around town. he won't even start to pull me till way up top since his shit is so laggy. it's a pure highway racer

I have a 50 trim on my z6, really happy with it. It starts spooling up around 5000. The thing kicks ass at the track.

that's exactly what we're talking about ya know? Not trying to bash on your car, I've read all your build threads on hmt and d-series.org, you got yourself a bomb ass car. What I love about my turbo is that I'm at full boost by 3500 rpms, and that's in first gear. Granted I'm only boosting 8 lbs, but I don't want my car to strictly be a highway car.
