Yea my d15 has a t3/t4 .60 a/r and it doesnt even reach full boost in first and its doesnt spool til like 5 but when it hits it hits hard but it sucks on the street smaller turbo on the street FTW

Mods: SR20DET,3" exhaust from the turbo, AFC, Greddy RS B.O.V., CP pistons, greddy head gasket, nismo clutch, tie rods, springs, shocks, vlsd,etc

Yea the bigger motor for sure and im seeing what they are saying you love gt series turbos lol but yea im swappin to a built gsr so no more tubo lag for me

nahh you'll still have turbo lag. it's only a 1.8 meant to make power n/a wise. it's a high reving engine with no low-end. it's compareable to ca19det.

it'll be built though so it'll run better than an internally stock gsr motor that's boosted
that's a lot of cheddaroni though

Just giving the op an idea on how my turbo spools since I have the same engine as his. But yea, mines more of a drag car that gets driven on the street. The t3to4e turbos can give a lot of boost at high rpms on a z6 with a good power band at the track. And they are bit less pricy than the ball bearing turbos. For an everyday driver i'll keep my eg coupe with greddy kit. It starts boosting at about 2k.

do it. you only need a turbo that can support you till your redline. too many people here get turbos that are too big for their motors. do you really need a t3/t4 turbo meant for 450whp that has a peaky as power band only useful on drag strips

Yea my friend had t4 .70 a/r on a built 2.0 GSR and he didnt reach full boost til like 5500 or 6000 but on the strip it was crazy but on the street no fun.

even then he wouldn't see the turbos full potential unless he did some crazy tuning and extended his power band.
