Boosting horsepower

I just bought a 99 EX coupe w/ the D16Y8... not a big fan of D-series motors... but i was wondering if anyone could tell me if there were any part swaps (OTHER THAN ENGINE SWAPS) that will help me bost the D16's power... ECU swaps, Heads, etc.???

You're not a fan of the D-series, eh? Do you now why you're saying this? Is it because they are not making crazy amounts of power out of the box?
Like said above, SEARCH!
Hell, look just 2 posts up at the very 1st purple sticky. "Wanting to boost your D-series".
Is that not exactly what you just asked?
