Well, its not a show car, Ive had it for a year. No mechanical issues of any kind even with the high Comp ratio, and yes it is priceless. yeah, D15 block, Y8 head. forgive my typo's...Ive been busy.

you just proved what i said was true. you didn't build your d-series for 1000 dollars. and since you own your own shop and dyno and mandrel bender. then you would technically have to add those into the cost of your build. that's like the owner of a ford car pland saying that it only costs 2800 dollars for his 60,000 dollar suv. how many people have their own dyno and mandrel bender and machine shop. the cost to maintain and purchase all that crap and the countless hours spent would ad up to more than a couple thousand spent on a d-series. your attempt to defend your argument is lame has done nothing but prove my point. you will not build a d-series to 206whp for1300 dollars 1400 dollars and certainly not 1000 dollars like you claimed.

well your funny. you missed the point. the "MOTOR" was built for a grand. No one said anything about how much EVERYTHING ELSE had cost. sorry, I thought we were talking about a D series motor, not the whole d*amn car. Yeah, well in that case just ignore everything I said... So whats the deal with your Nissan? I thought this was a honda forum. Or did you swap to an S2K powerplant?
ok, but still, "I" spent about a grand on that motor, which is not alot. But its NOT like someone else payed a nutload of cash do build something, then I just bolted it on. "I done did all that dad gum work right thur."

haha whenever a noob idiot runs ouf of a valid argument they always attack your car. and i'm not talking about building the whole damn car just the motor. so if everybody owns their own dyno, machine shop, mandrel bender they can build a motor for 1400 dollars. please man you know that's a dumb ass argument. i didn't miss your point, you don't have one. like i said do you think the owner of ford would say it's totally possible to buy a brand new gt500 for 2000 dollars? no that's just fucking stupid. if you're gonna use that you bought your own dyno, and maching shop then those would have to be factored into the cost of building your d-motor to an n/a 206whp.
and about my car. if you could read you would be able to tell there is a gsr in there. which means i had a gsr integra. but arguing with you is dumb and pointless you pull weird ass circumstances out of your ass that mean nothing at all.

the point of this forum should be as informative as possible so other people can get tips from it the OP stated that he built a 200 HP D for 1300 implying that anyone could this is false like you he had access to things that 95% of people don't have. how much would you charge someone else to do what you did for yourself. answer that add the price of the parts and thats how much your D series build really costs you don't have to pay yourself so you got the work done for free well not really you could have been making money in that time so it did cost you that time.

actually i'm looking for an accord now
i sold the POS contour after dumping $600 worth of minor shit into it then learning the tranny is going out "burnt tranny fluid and one time it didn't go into reverse"  so i'm going accord then i'll throw an H22 in that that way it's a 4 door for the family but i can still have fun then in a couple months i'm going to start a G1 DSM project.

err...
1k for an extra hundred HP in a D??? Thats not accurate, as you did the work yourself and didnt pay markup for someone else to do anything. most of us have to pay to get stuff welded and bent and tuned.
but i also have something to say about the constant flaming on these forums:
It gets really annoying when you come on here looking to read some nice, informative stuff and more than half is you 2 flaming people and gang banging everyone who adds in 2 cents, whether its legit or otherwise...
you guys should just chill out and stop team tagging threads... share your knowledge and make valid, but also NONE hostile arguements... Don't come in on your non-honda horses and burn down the village and impale people just cuz you wanna point out inaccuracies and ridicule people for them...
and also, the whole point of that guy was that he DID get 200HP for roughly 1k... who said there were RULES about who can wrench and show off their results? idk about u, but i didnt get a memo saying shop owners had to pay full retail value or STFU about wrenching...
this forum is going down hill... people dont get any help anymore around here... just ridicule and "USE THE DAMN SEARCH!!! NOOOOOBBBB!!!"
if everyone used searches or just googled, ur ass wouldn't have an excuse for sitting here and flaming people for asking questions and sharing their experiences.
