yet again you can't read. i merely gave rebuttals to his key points. it's the point of a forum or is that above your comprehension. and aren't you the one contradicting yourself starting another pointless argument of which you were clearly wrong simply so you can feel better about yourself

and my point about your mod list was something called an example. i didn't say you needed a permission slip to work on your car did I? i said i could've been an asshole about the fact that you have headers listed as mod which you obviously don't even understand why that is a funny thing considering you have a 4cyl..... or the fact that everything on your mod list except the filter will have to be trashed for a turbo build. i was pointing out what me being dick would really be like ;-)

and ya, i know its HEADER, but I just say headers cuz its just easier, and im used to it...

btw, i was reading on another forum that it took a guy like $4,500 WITH HOOKUPS and some used parts to get 190-200 HP N/A... but seeing as my cookies and previous visits get erased every time i close my firefox window, i gotta find it again.

but ya, even then, it wasnt reliable... he blew it up in like a year...

Just to clear things up, I wasnt attacking anyone's cars. I was actually curious about what you did with the 240. Ive seen people throw in the s2k blocks and pull huge numbers. If you want a D series block that will handle a clean, reliable 200 ponies, Ill build one for you just so you'll stop b*itching. Just cough up 1400 and a truck load of burritos. It took me 4 months, so thats how long it will take.

4 months for a 200whp build. not knocking you but in 4 months you could have 350whp motor. and to clarify a 200whp n/a d-series would have a lame power band bordering unstreetable territory

well, I DO HAVE A BUSINESS TO RUN. thats why it took me 4 months. I know I could have easily taken a B16 and built it up for less money and more power. I figured that it would be fun to go and break out the ordinary a bit. Actually it has a very smooth power curve, vtec kicks in at 6800 and it flattens out just under 9000. It passed smog too just before I pulled the cat on it. Unfortunately it only drinks 101 octane.

yeah, but it was also in the body shop for 3 months. so It was only really down for a month. well if you mean it flattens out quickly then yeah it does. but again, thats at just under 9000 and im already in the next gear by then...

lets be realistic FOR THE AVERAGE JOE, THEY CANNOT BUILD A 200WHP D-SERIES ENGINE FOR UNDER 2 GRAND. come on you had a shop and the other guy had someone else pay for most of his shit. thats like your mommy and daddy buying you a brand new ferrari and you saying you payed 2000 dollars for it. the whole point is we are trying to be realistic for the average person. if I went around saying I could build a n/a d for 1400 I would shoot myself I know its just not possible for average people(that don't own shops) to do. and thats all we try to do around here is stop people from misleading the average person. then when they are done building that n/a d and see it only puts out 170whp for alot more money then they were told it should have been they get pissed. but then again people should also do research on these things, if they did they would clearly see its just not gonna happen for the average person.
