code 1509

i have a buddy runnin a y7 with z6 IM and 440 inj. OB1
when we changed inj. & inj. clips to(OB1) we threw a 1509
reading in the hynes manual it told me it1509=IAC valve circuit fault

does this means his ecu is fried?

it still runs just ildes funny ,... jumps at 1.3k to 2k back and forth rapidly when throttle is opened barely ....open throttle more it shoots to 4.5k and steady .....and that point up is fine

he told me he had the purge control selinoid vavle replaced before
its the thing between the evap canister and IM

IAC=idle air control, this basicly tells the ECU how to idle it the circuit is fried in the IAC it wont idle worth shit, take the IAC off and clean it and check for loose wires.
