d or b series
i have about 2500 to spend right now. i was wondering if i shouldorder a b16a1 or stick with the d16z6 i got and beef it up which is better in the long run?i use fordaily driver as well

Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. I'm not a fan of the b16, and the b16a1 would be a bad choice in your car. A little harder to find upgrades since it is not the same as the b16a2/3, but more importantly, it has a cable transmission while your car is hydro tranny.
I'd suggest looking into the b18b1. More displacement which will make life better for the daily driver. Also leaves you with a lot of upgrade options. I believe the b18b1 is typically $1800-2200.

b18b one spanks a b16 with the same tranny. get the b18b not to mention bolt-ons cams and a tune and you'll put down what a gsr does without-vtec

yeah we're off the subject but prob for a daily driver try a b18 anything, they have more torque and more hp's so you dont have to rev the shit out of them in traffic. my pick of i wasn't worried about gas mileage would be a ls\vtec with b16 tranny. or even a b20frank
