D15B7 196,000miles problems?
I have had my car for 2 years now, when I got it, it had 170,000miles on it when I got it. I have driven it real hard for those 2 years, but I have done all the correct maintance and even more than that, I changed the oil and filter every 2,500miles. I had my water pump and timing belt and oil pan and rear main seal replaced, and my clutch got up graded to a Stage 1 street clutch, with polyurathane shift linkage bushings. I recently went for a tune-up and they did a compression test and I got 180, 180, 110, 180. They knew that the ring was worn out and was leaking oil into the combustion chamber. They told me that it wouldn't really have that big an effect on the overall ride of the car, but recently, my car smells like a go-cart (that oil mixed with gas smell) and every time I shift gears around 5,500rpms blue smoke comes out my exhaust. My car idles at 900rpms usually, but sitting in front of the drive-through at Wendy's last night the engine sounded like it was sputtering and the rpms had dropped to about 500. It had never done that before, I was also very low on gas, but it wasn't on E, so I don't know whats the issue. My question is; should I be worried, that my motor is going to break down soon, and if thats the case it's ok, but I'd like to know ahead of time, so I can order a new motor?
