http://www.superhonda.com/forum/show...32#post3403032

The motor has 215k miles on it and my plans are to rebuild with new pistons, rings, rods, mine me swap w/ turbo cam, and titanuim retainers, and the turbo the shit out of it. Or the other option is to buy a d16z6 and build it up and turbo it. Would the d16 be better because of milage on the d15 and what kind of hp can i expect with this turbo on the d15 and 16.

I think i can help

well my friend has a turbo z6 and he told me that it doesnt handle boost any better than a b7 because i was going to turbo my b7 with 196,000mi on it and i was told as long as the compression is good to go for it but make sure u get it tuned i was also told that i could safly run 12psi tuned and have just about 200whp which is what this other guy with a boosted b7 around here is making on stock internals but id do a comp check before i just put a kit on.

I was planning on boosting my D15B7, but after getting a compression test and finding bad compression in cylinder 3, I couldn't go through with my plans. If you have done a compression test and you know first hand how well your motor was taken care of. Then by all means turbo the sh*t out of it. But I would recommend not going over 10psi and for driving around town, I would recommend 7psi. With a D15B7 and a T3/T4 pushing 10psi, tuned correctly; you should be pushing 190hp or more. If you get a custom exhaust where you have a valve that opens and closes, and a switch mounted on you dash, you can make a shorter straight pipe come straight off the down pipe and just go out the side of you car, for when you're at the track and then when you on the street you can have the valve closed and the exhaust gases will exit you original exhaust system. Just an idea. Hope any of this is helpful. Good Luck.
