Lol if you "know" then why ask the question? It's been covered MANY times as to what you CAN do to your Y7. If you're thinking bolt on's then I would suggest to stray away from that w/ the D-series engine. D-series engines are great engines, they are VERY well built, and made like a TANK. However, they lack power. And by adding bolt ons, you will not really get anything from it, just smaller pockets and a different engine note. If you're wanting more power and want to keep your D. Then turbo will be the way to go. They can put down some mean power to the wheels when boosted.

this issue has been covered a few times but ill just say it again

with that engine u can put a few on bolt on's and u still wont get that much power, only thing ull be doin is just making a lot of noise, but the best way to get power out of a D series engine is to just turbo it, but make sure u research a lot more about turbos, just read different threads and look up stuff on the web to learn about it

heres a few sites

I have an engine the same as yours d16y7. and did a lot of research in the past and finally gave up on building it up with bolt ons (not too much you can bolt on to get power). but essentially boosting it would be the way to go. but probably you don't want that plan for your engine. my plan was to buy all the bolt ons essential for an all motor setup. but also consider a port 'n polish to make it more efficient for the other bolt ons to work better as well. it will cost you a lot to make some kind of difference in the engine. make sure to make a plan on what you spend on. you dont want to spend too much on the lesser things that only yield close to nothing. but cheer up you'll be the few out there that stuck with a d series.

yes sir. I stuck w/ the D-series. You can easily achieve over 300WHP for under or around $3,000.

if you are just looking for something fun to drive, do the basic bolt ons (intake, header, exhaust) throw an EX (d16y8) transmission on there for the shorter gears, and a lighter flywheel will help you get through the rpms faster.

Focus on the suspension. My d16y7 is a turd to drive, until i built up the suspension really well, now i have more fun driving it than the RSX-S

If you are looking for those type of power numbers, then you generally have to rebuild the block to ensure reliability. I'm sure plenty of people have pulled it off on a stock block (actually heard of > 400whp on a stock block), but you are asking for trouble if it is your daily driver. $3k will easily get you to 200whp, but anyone considering turbo should really plan to rebuild the block if they want more than 225whp or so.

On a side note, more than 250whp is pretty much useless on the street.

Yup, I wouldn't go over 220whp on a D-series w/o rebuilding the guts.

Hell, consider my civic useless than !

There's a reason why your car is daily driven. There is a certain level you achieve that you can no longer call it daily driven. But do get an engine buildup. That is very important even if you want to achieve at least 200 HP. If you don't you're asking for big trouble, hell u might not end up with an engine. I do hope you come up with something good for your ride.

why is this?

If your gonna do bolt-ons you might look into getting a better cam. Regrinds are cheap I picked one up for $70, and it was worth it.
