Excellent point. An ex cai goes through the hole in front of the wheel where the OEM resonator tubing goes through. On a DX shell, that hole is not there.
Two options:
1) as 98 said, you can get the EX CAI and cut the hole and put a rubber lining or file it very smoothly.
2) buy a DX CAI to avoid the hole issue, but custom fabricate the piping to attach to the IM where the EX one would attach (basically chopping it up).

option two is what I did. btw. but i just left it as a sri as of recently
