ok so just a little two cents from me....i have a dx tranny for sure...At approx 80mph my car is around 3100rpm in 5th...the ex tranny should be closer to 3700 or even upwards. atleast i think...i have a website that has all the gear ratios filled in, you put in your tire size and auto fill the tranny then in the redline or RPM box type in a number until you get close to 80...i did this for these and found that they are not far apart so i dont really believe it for the d-series but it has been my experience about the two models rpms around 80mph
the ex and dx 5th are virtualy identical, the spedo isnt accurate enough to tell you. do a full pull in third, if you get over 95mph in 3rd gear, its a DX for sure
LEAR ASS ROAD SUPER SMOOTH check tire pressure EVERYTHING before doing this.
