d16z6 block with d16y5 head?

can the z6 block be put in place of the y5. will the original wiring harness hook up?

The block will bolt up and work, mechanically.
You'll notice there is nearly no wires on the block itself...in fact on most blocks the only thing that gets wired up is the oil pressure sender, except on OBD2 motors like your HX the oil pump houses the crank fluctuation sensor. So, you will basically need to swap the OBD2 HX pump, sensor, and timing belt gear onto the Z6 block to make it function properly with your HX ecu.

Oh I almost forget, you will likely also have to swap the HX lower timing belt cover to the Z6 also to fit on the OBD2 pump/sensor. I know it is required to do that with B-series.
