D16Z6 Head onto a D16Y7
i recently aquired a D16Z6 VTEC head 2 days ago and am going to have it port and polished stage 2 camshaft titanium valve springs and stainless steal
valves (is there any thing better than stainless steel valves) im gonna be mounting it onto a D16Y7 bottom and was wandering if there was a guide any
were on this, i want to make shure im not forgetting anything thanx

stainless valves are just fine. titanium maybe but they are more expensive and pointless.
the only issue with mini-me's with the y7 block and z6 head is the timing belt. i can't remember which one you need.
Yeah, lots of guides/writeups. The search button should return quite a few results. Google should also.
It's pretty straight forward. Just remember to remove the oil jet from the block and be prepared to wire up the vtec.
What are you planning to do with it that you need a stage 2 camshaft? A mild will be plenty for the street and still make it driveable. Red lights are a bitch with an agressive cam.
An a port job is a great idea but do you really need it? Air travels through the intake runners at about 250 miles per hour and out the exhaust runners at a whopping 650 mph. It doesn't need larger/smoother passages to make a huge difference. As long as the passages are clear of blockage and kept in good clean shape a port job won't help much.
People spend the $400+ to have a port job done when there isn't much else they can do to extract more power out of the motor.
You are definitely on the right track, I'm doing the same project right now. Here's what I'm doing:
-D15B7 block
-D16Z6 head
-Omni Power flat top valves for a slight bump in compression
-AKMEE cam, springs, titanium retainers (these are an amazing bargain)
-GSR throttle body on a portmatched y8 intake manifold, this makes the cam worthwhile -- more than a ported head will, and won't cost near as much
