D16Z9 swap into EK

im planning to swap a D16Z9 that i have from a old EJ1 , to my 97 EK D16Y7 ..

I ve some doubts ..what i need to do that swap ? i have the D16Z9 complete , with OBD1 Ecu and harness , its all that i need?

i talked to a friend that said to me that the electronic is going to be a pain inthe ass , but all the rest is plug n play ..is he correct?

how can i make my OBD2 chassis work with OBD1 ECU correctly ? the easy way?RE-PIN ? convertion harness?

sorry my noobness , but im starting into those swap things ...

Best regards from PORTUGAL ...

I know you can buy a conversion kit, but its basically just the plugs from an obd1 main harness, then you have to do the wiring. Search obd1 to obd2 conversion. The mounts and trans will fit the same though.

Otherwise look into getting an obd2 engine. Makes your life much easier.
