exhaust ? and mini-me swap ?
ok i bought an exhaust and when i went to install it i found that the flange on the resonator pipe doesnt match the flange on the header. when i went back to the shop that sold it to me he said he needed to weld a piece to it so i was like ok and that i wanted him to do it. i go back the next day he says he's backed up to come back later i was like ok. anyways he made me come back 3 times when i went back the last time he wasnt even at the shop it was closed for the day i guess. but anyways...does anybody make the "extension" or whatever it is i need to have the exhaust fit or do i need to make it myself?
mini-me swap ? ive looked everywhere on how to do it but nobody has a diy on a d16z6 head put on a d16y7 block. my question is can i use the y7 dizzy and a y8 ecu or would i have to get the z6 dizzy and p28 ecu?
thanks in advance to whoever helps me out. i appreciate it.

mini me: SEARCH the forums. there are 508 threads (i searched for it last night) that come up when searching titles only for "mini-me." also the stickys in civic and d-series tech have mini-me links in them.
as for the exhaust, if you still can't get this guy to do the work, go somewhere else and get them to weld the right flange on it.

I asked my friend who is a mechanic if I can use my obd2 dizzy and a y8 ecu and he said yes so on sunday we are going to do it. I'll let you know what happens.
You can run an OBD1 ecu with OBD2 dizzy and vice versa, but the problem is fitment. I don't think a Y7 dizzy fits a Z6 bolt pattern. The thing is the harness connectors are different even though all the wires/functions are the same. Probably you need a Z6 housing and swap all the guts from the Y7 dizzy into it then you'll be fine.
Otherwise there's no difference in mini-me swaps using a Z6 head vs. a Y8 head other than you need to have head bolts to match the head. There's nothing OBD-related in the head itself to be concerned with, but manifolds have some differences that are minor.
