tech wrench a few questions regarding d16z6 head swap

I just purchased a z6 head to put on my 92 d15b7 block. I've been doing a lot of research and I have a few questions I need cleared up before I finish purchasing the rest of the parts. First, would I be better off getting a chipped ECU from phearable or just getting the stock one from another car? Also I've heard a few conflicting ideas on the distributor. Am I going to need to buy a z6 one or would my d15b7 one work? Also if any of you guys who have done the swap could give me a time frame on how long it took you to do the swap that would be great. Any tips or suggestions for the swap are appreciated as well. And yes, I searched.

thanks

aj

for the ecu, the chipped will allow you to tune it if you do any further mods to it, like turbo. if you don't plan on something along those lines then a stock one would be fine.

not sure on the dizzy.

if you had no clue what your doing and just going by a writeup, i'd set aside a weekend. but if you know what your doing, a day or less

dam skippy the d16z6 dizzy is what im running with the d15 block ....also you may or may not know you need the d16 timing belt tensioner on some of those swaps (otherwise your can park your car thinking you blew the top half of your motor when the belt jumps tehehe...)
