Finally my head is done! Pics

Just finished the head today. Gona get some sleep and bolt it to the block later today. Block is ready to go minus flywheel and clutch but thats minor. All stock internals cept JE Pro Seal rings. Block is posted as an experiment to see if it actually does any good

Did the port&polish myself.... didnt port it out much since it ws my first and didnt want to take too much... probably not even enough to do any good, but I polished that bitch for hours upon hours and my fingers hurt like hell... only got a few pics and they kinda suck (camera phone) but oh well. I actually started the p & p last July but got sick of doing it so it didnt get finished til now lol.

Trying to get the motor finished, swapped into my 89 hatch, boosted, and running by the 2cnd... and still have time to party... and I still need to pull the motor thats in the hatch right now... shouldnt be a problem though.

Honestly, I wouldnt mess with it. Pain.In.The.Ass. But I used a demel and grinding stone bits from work that we use for machining and tooling work. You can get kits that have different bits and cutters though. I didnt get a kit since I didnt want to take much off.

As far as polishing, I started with a coarse paper and worked my way up. Dont remember what I started with but finished with a 400grit. My fingers hurt... just polishing it should help I would think they are pretty rough to begin with.

I didnt do the intake side. I talked to a buddy of mine who has done this a few times and he said for my first one just start with the exhaust side. Later on I might do the intake side but for now I want to get it running. This is kind of an experimental motor anyways so we will see what this does.
