should i keep it, or save for a b16, but if i keep it what should i first to do it, my first thoughts were going with the bolt on's, headers, cold air, high flow cat, cat-back, new wires, whats a good estimet ill gain with just thos bolt on's in hp with a stock d16y8.
You won't get more than about 115-120whp with bolt-ons. However I'm anti-b16. Thats a lot of money to spend for 30hp and a motor that most people refer to as the torqueless wonder. If swapping, a b18 is most likely a better choice.
you wont notice too much with bolt ons and d series engine combined. make a plan first. theres a lot of engines out there you can choose from as long as you have the money, swapping out the D series with a b series will make a hella difference.
minor bolt-ons will only net you a few Proven hp here and there. if your looking for cheap power you could always spray it... and then be forced to get a b-series!!!

dont see where it says this? and its a forum so i put in my 2 cents.. sorry.... i have a friend that has a d series del sol and he was pretty quick on only a 50 shot.. you could notice a difference...for what its worth
i just got my 99 ex , and im keeping my d motor, plan are to turbo it, always wanted to do a sohc with a turbo for some reason , plus i dont see the point in pullin a motor outa mine with only 79k miles on it, shes got a lot of life left,
