Help please, Just got a '90 Si

hey i just bought a 90 Si with a ZC motor swap except...the car over heats within 20 minutes (i bought it in another city and drove it home, a 2 hour drive ended u being a 4 hour fiasco) anyway, im not sure what the problem could be, broken thermostat? Low oil?

also side question, can i use a 91 civic Si ECU in a 90 Si without changing any wires?

Start by obviously, checking for coolant leaks. Then, drain your coolant completely, and put a new thermostat in. refill the coolant. Big thing that people forget or don't know to do, is bleed the cooling system. leave the radiator cap off, run the car with the heat on full blast, adding coolant as needed until the cooling fan kicks on. Then toss the radiator cap on and you'll be good. If it's still overheating, get a waterpump

actually low oil can cause this problem but that's easy to check so i 'd say water pump

Check the coolant level. Then listen to chthonian, and also check to see what your radiator looks like. If its all banged up or packed with dirt...it could explain alot.

And you can use the computer. Plug n' play.
