I have a problem

I need to get some custom pistons and rods for my CRX. I have a JDM ODBI D15B Vtec. Not the 3-stage. I need to know if anyone knows or can point me in the direction of what the dimensions of these pistons and rods are. I'm going to boost it more than the 6-9 psi. I'm not even really sure I need new pistons. Will stock pistons do? I know i need to "close deck" the block, and the rods are weak. Please help me.

I dont think u r lil d15b can handle 12-14 psi without some serious tunning

dont worry about PSI. set power goals.

10 psi on a t25 isnt the same as 10 psi on a t66.

your d15 would make about 150-160 whp. the rods are the weak link in your engine. unfortunatly, i dont think there are aftermarket rod options for your car.

Id suggest getting a D16z6 (should drop right in, and is obd1) and turbo that, it can take about 200whp on stock internals and there is much more aftermarket support for it.

thew JDM d15b uses the same rods a z6 so any aftermarket rods that will work on a d16z6 you can use. for pistons you should be able to use vitaras or you can talk to waisco and they will machine pistons.

and yup stop thinking psi its an arbitrary value its size of the turbo that matters more.

notice I said you can use vitara pistons or you can get the "roller waves" machined.

google both of them.

do the vitara pistons have the same compression height as the D15B? I'm just curious. Thanks for the info though.

not compression ratio, piston height...cuz the d15b has a shorter deck height than the d16z6
