me n my bf installed coilovers on my 00 civic dx 2 door n i got 17s w/ it, im lovin it cuz it looks sick nasty, but i want it dumped all the way, but when we do that, the tires rub my fenders, my bf said that if we roll the fenders that may help, so we raise it a bit to not let ne rubbin action go down. any suggestions? :eek

don't lower it that low, there is no point. unless you like holes and cracks in the exhaust and scraped/cracked bumpers.
if you do lower it much, only lower it to about a finger gap or slightly more(more meaning more fingers). that way the suspension is not pot under unnecesary stress. and you don't have to roll or what i like to call screw up your fenders.
Mods: VW's now my daily driver, until I can get the EG back on the road.
I dropped my car 3" when I first got in and rolled around NYC for about 6 months and my exhaust became flat on the under side and I broke my front coilovers and i cracked my oil pan. It looks cool as hell, but it sure ain't worth it.
Mods: Huge wing, couple of kanooter valves and oh yes the whipple valve too! Super V-tak, gay stickers, parts that don't work, some mats like Strongman ftl
Not to mention that you destroy camber and make handling very shitty! 1.5 inch drop all the way around did good for me. Although I wouldn't mind getting some good coilovers to go a bit further. The JIC's are looking nice to me right now.

Uhmm i dont know about anyone else here but i always went with the
Two fingers vertically inbetween the fender and the tire.
that usually has more than enough clearance to fend off tire rubbing.
and smaller wheels would also help :P

thats about what mine is, i just said 1 because most people like that look better
well i dont kno bout two fingers ^ , but i like mine to at least have a finger, but right now im tuckin a little in the back, but no rubbins goin on, but ima get smaller wheels cuz its jus not as low i as i want it. to me it dont look good unless its laid down. but when i get my turbo of course itll come back up

just curious, if you know that bottoming out can crack your exhaust, crack your front bumper, bottom out on your oil pan, throw off your suspension geometry, and just in general be a hazard and could cause a wreck, if you loose control because of it being lowered so far.
the last one is only if the car is bouncy but you get my point.
