LSD for Z6 Tranny!

Ok before some of you feed me to the dogs or try and crusify me, I've done plenty of research in google, ebay, Honda-tech, Dseries, turbod16 and so forth. I'm very curious to know if it's possible to add an LSD to a Z6 transmission, I've heard some rumors that Quaife makes and LSD for our trannies

Civic/CRX Si/EX models 88-99, except 90-91 Si (40mm bearings) *60.309.155 $995.00

This is a direct exempt from their site.

I know it's a bit pricey but I just want to know if it's possible to add an LSD to a Z6 tranny like if it has the space and spot already there and all you need to do it add it. I'm no expert in trannies.

Thanks in advance for the help and I thank also thank those who will more than likely flame or hate.

There are numerous companies that make LSD for the D-series tranny. Quaife does, also OBX makes a Quaife knockoff for under $400. You could try the Phantom Grip thing for under $200. There are even factory JDM D-series trannies with lsd. One just sold on Ebay a couple days ago for under $300 for the whole trans. You might try finding one of those it's cheaper than getting one and having it installed, although it's nice to start with a freshly rebuilt trans. Quaife lsd's can be had new for close to $800-850, don't go paying $1000 for one. With that kind of investment you might as well buy an ITR trans and a B20 longblock for another $500 and have yourself a fast swap.

Best prices on the quaife are www.manufacturersdepot.com . There is also kaaz and obx. I've heard quite a few success stories with the obx.

i like it stock as they come. The factory LSD tranny is sweet. My bro picked up a d15b with the lsd tranny for 450 out the door. He was lucky cuz the complete motor came with ogura race spec clutch and exedy flywheel ( still spankin good)...... Love JDM.

factory lsd's are fine for street, but don't get the job done on the track. Also an oem d-series lsd is incredibly hard to find.

Trueness, factory lsd D-trannies are serious limited production stuff. The most I'd invest in a D-series trans is for the OBX version of the Quaife.
