mini me hesitation problems
so my buddy just did a mini me swap. he originally had a Y8 in his 4th gen hatch but the bottom end went. he had the old A6 so he decided to swap the Y8 head onto the A6 block. it runs, it idles great, but hesitates when you accelerate. not the entire time, and not always at the same time, but otherwise it runs strong and good. hes running the SI ECU and originally was throwing a 9 code which is #1 cyl position... well the timing was off by 3 teeth so we fixed that and the hesitation went away a little bit. now its throwing a 10 code which is intake air temp. cant figure out why its hesitating. tried adjusting timing, changed plugs, wires, ect... this is my first mini me so maybe ther was something that needed to be done that I dont know about?
Also... the Y8 dissy went bad somewhere in the middle of all this so hes running the SI dissy right now... could that be the problem? I know the wire order is different between the 2 so...?
also running non-vtec for now until he gets a jumper and ecu for it...
