Mini me IACV wiring for y7 intake?

I finally got my mini me setup installed, except that I thought I could do without the y8 intake.
The problem I think is the 3 wire IACV on the y7 intake.
All the threads I read say I should put the y8 intake on it, and then do some wiring magic.
But I dont have a y8 intake.
I will try to get one for sure, but is there any way to wire it for now so the CEL doesnt come on and the Vtec works?

Any help or links would be appreciated.

what ecu are you running? the dx or ex? sounds like ex. just swap the manifold out for a y8 or z6 and rewire it. otherwise use the dx ecu and run a vtec controller. but that vertical throttle body aint doing any good for you

Man don't mess with that VTEC controller jive. If you can't wire up the IACV and VTEC, you sure can't rig in a VAFC.

Changing the wires for iacv is not difficult. If you're using a Y8 (or Z6) ecu then you need a manual trans version of the Y8 manifold, as the autos use the same 3-wire iacv as your Y7. Basically you just splice on a 2-wire plug and move 1 wire in one of the ecu plugs. I'll get you a diagram and instructions on how to do it (with pictures!)

Yeah,
the y7 intake is killing me.
The iacv is not at all compatible with the y8 ecu. I have all the instructions for the wiring, if I had a y8 head.
I was wondering if I could maybe ground out one of the 3 iacv wires and just use the other 2? or 1?

What do you mean "if you had a Y8 head"...didn't you say you just did a mini-me??? Anyways it doesn't matter what head you use for mini-me, Z6 or Y8 blah blah. Actually it doesn't matter even if you've done mini-me at all, you can put a Y8 manifold on a Y7 head and the 2-wire IACV mod is the same. Follow these instructions in the link, also read up on the other links as well. This link is for 96-98, but you can find the 99-00 Civic diagrams there as well. I used the spare orange IACV and put in in the VTEC solenoid slot as the solenoid trigger. You will also need another wire from the ecu to the VTEC oil sensor and a ground for the sensor. I can send you a spare wire with terminals on it for that if you need it.
