The problem is that when I drive the car to work, the gf's, or wherever, I don't seem to see oil leaking from under the car, and I've checked. I started checking as soon as I noticed droplets of oil under my vehicle... ONLY in my garage.
I went out yesterday and the spot has gotten HUGE! I looked under the car, I can not seem to find where it is coming from. The spot is relatively larger than normal after getting my oil changed. And so far I've had 2 oil changes since I've owned the car (bought it used) and each time it has smoked as if oil was spilled onto the exhaust manifold. There is no smoke IN the actual exhaust, just under the hood. So, the smoke stops after the first day and I have checked the spot where the oil filter is at and there seems to be no leaks. There are no leaks at the oil pan plug either.
The head gasket has no leaks, but there is a bit of residue near where the transmission mounts to the engine, however, there is no collecting of oil that would create drops or puddles on the ground there, plus the spot seems to be centered under the engine. I can't seem to find any residue on the vehicle. Could it be the oil pan gasket? How long do they normally last? I don't think it's ever been replaced.
check your valve cover gasket and check your oil drain plug... it sounds like its either dripping onto your manifold or onto your exhaust under the drain plug.
what you do is get one of those carb cleaners, and spray down your whole engine and tranny area clean. Once the engine is clean see where the oil is leaking from.
Based on your description it doesnt necessarily mean it's coming from the oil pan.. it could be dripping down from the top somewhere too.
It could be your valve gasket or your distributor seal. Oil tends to leak from there quite often
I've already mentioned that it is NOT either of those....
I am thinking now that it might be the crankshaft oil seal??
You said head gasket, not valve cover gasket
It's worth getting under there to check the oil pan gasket. Very simple check and fix.
Like you said, could be the camshaft seal, mine went bad on the Integra.
Did you change the oil yourself?
This is prob. not it..but worth a check. Take a look at the...er...I can't think of the name right now. The tube that is coming off the intake, see if there is oil in that.

Do these cars have PCVs that tend to leak a lot? I know on ls1s, you will burn excessive oil through the PCV, and even get it into the tb and into the intake mani. That could be a problem, if d motors are equiped with it.
