O2 Sensor Problems

My 98 EX is throwing P0135: 02 sensor heater malfunction and P0133: 02 sensor slow response. A few months ago I held it open at about 4500 rpms for about 3 minutes and the CEL shut off and came back on about 4 hours later. Changed the spark plugs and air filter. No change. Changed the 02 sensor, still no change. I'm running out of ideas, and Im over due for my inspection. Any ideas?

p0135:if you replaced the primary o2 sensor (even if aftermarket, it should still not recode so soon) you most likely have shorted wires under the intake manifold.

get under the car, remove the bracket, tape up any shorted wires, install some kind of cushion on the intake bracket, and re-install.

check fuse 15 in the under dash fuse box, it may have blown.

p0133:the ecm may have a problem here. the fix is to replace it. apparantly it's too sensitive to driver input and may set a code. if you have access to the freeze data when the code sets again - if it does after you check the p0135 problem - see if it matches this criteria:

if yes:replace the ecm.
if no: replace the primary o2 sensor with a honda part if you used aftermarket parts. but first verify from the live data list that no variables are out of spec, especially egr and fuel trim.
