Oil Pressure question

After I had my engine rebuilt the oil pressure seems alot higher than I would expect. I didn't install the oil pressure guage untill after the engine went in. I'm running about 75PSI most of the time when the engine is hot. Idle is still about 30. And when it's cold it will get to about 105. I'm worried that maybe they used too big main bearings. Would this cause this to happen? Is the stock pressure sending unit located between the oil pump and main bearing? I'm concerned the head might not be getting enough oil pressure if this is the case. It is kinda loud at idle like there's not enough lubrication. My buddies Z6 sounded like this at idle and was quiet after we realized his oil pickup tube was clogged.

Well if they used to big of main bearings then you would have low oil pressure and probably a main knock by now.
Did you have them do anything special to the engine oil system wise?
such as drill out the bearings, open up the pump passages a little, put a stiffer sping in the pump pressure relief valve, or put a high volume pump in it?

Take you oil cap off while its running and shine a flash light at you rocker arms, they should be slinging oil around.

yeah they slightly drilled the bearing holes, stock Y8 pump. That's why I was asking where the sending unit sits. Trying to find out if it's before the mains or after. If the sending unit is between the pump and mains I could see where a slightly too tight bearing clearance would cause a reading of high pressure and causing less oil flow after the mains. Maybe I've got the whole oil flow wrong but I couldn't find any schematics on it but my guess was pan, pickup tube, pump, main girdle then up to the head and back down. If you can shine some light on this that would be great. I knew I should have checked the clearances myself but I just trusted the shop that did it as they are reputable.
