tech wrench p28 problem

hey , today i was using my car and i noticed that the check engine light turns on when im on the 3rd gear and pass the 7500 rpm , the light keep turned on till i turn off the car and turn it on again. the weird thing its that this only happen when i am in the 3rd gear dont happen when in in 2nd or 1st, i cheked the codes in my p28 and wont give me codes. So if sum1 kno whats wrong with the car let me kno thx Ryo

so, when the CEL comes on, go straight to somewhere where they can read the code and see what it says. don't turn the car off

I thought the stock revlimit was 7200?

if he chipped the ECU then he probably set his rev limit higher.

ya my p28 its chiped to 9000rpm but i think something its wrong wit it. It wont give code even when the check engine light its on . So i think i will have to change my ecu

you can check your own code with a paper clip and the blue jumper under the passenger side dash

Unless your engine is built to handle it, you shouldn't be revving to 7500 and above anyway
