I know the stepchild D can be one to F wit, (I know alot of you want to kill me for this Q) but is it really worth making the D more potent? I mean I like the idea of a D or any other outcast honda power plant run really strong and get respect for it. do any of you guys regret going the D route instead of maybe a B18b or a B20, (just wanted to get some opinions on this I might just keep my D and build it.)
if you want to make power with a d, your only real option is forced induction. going NA doesnt get you alot of power unless you get real crazy with the build.
Mods: All stock, for now. Hooked up the stereo though.
My advice would be to swap in a good condition B18B. It sounds to me like youre not sure if you want to go NA or turbo, but definetly want more power. Swapping in a B18B would give you more power now, and still leave you with the option of boost or NA later down the road. If you decide on NA, you can throw a VTEC head on there with bolt ons and make 170+whp. Or you can boost it, and make 240+. But a stock B18B would still be an improvement over your D. Id recommend a B16 or GSR transmission though.
i dont even want to ask this question but im going to..sigh the real noob is coming out..ok boost is turbo..ok NA is ??? i could guess either...nitrous...or all motor?

NA = Naturally aspirated, ie all motor.
On second thought... Id recommend reading up before you decide to do anything. I feel that an engine swap is out of your reach- as far as mechanical skills are concerned, so id recommend reading the articles and stickies to prepare yourself for what youre getting yourself into. A motor swap is definetly (in my opinion) a much easier task than a turbo built, and there is much less to potentially screw up.
