Rocker Arm cap broke on D16z6 - Honda Forum / Acura Forum

I've been trying to find a rocker arm cap for my d16z6. its the 3rd one from the left. The middle bolt of the valve cover screws into this thing. I don't have pics of it right now. but i was wondering if i would have to get this part specifically from a d16z6 head. or could i get it from something similar.

any ideas guys? honda said they don't specifically sell that part. and that i would have to pay 1600 for a new cylinder head. so any help is good

The honda rep was clueless... You can buy a single rocker arm assembly, but they are expensive... As in like $250+ new from the dealer.

Would be cheaper to find someone with a damaged head and buy it off of them, or just buy a complete used head.

Also, check the forsale forums over on D-series.org .

You will need a rocker assembly specifically from a d16z6 so 92-95 civic ex/si.

Just head out to a local U-PULL it and take one off of one of the EG's that roll thru. You'd be suprised how many there are and how cheap they are - probably a $5 part. just means you will have to take the time to go and get one for yourself.

Depends on if they let you take it. it would render the remainder of the head useless.

Ain't been to one yet that said you can't. Most will let you dismantle the engines but transmissions are a no-no. Besides - tell them its from the handlebars on a motorcycle if your worried about it - it looks just like one of the handlebar mounts that hold the bars to the triple trees.
