Shopping for Civic. D16Z6 oil leak? Cam seal? Dizzy? HG?
Im looking to buy a Civic and it has an oil leak that LOOKS like it is coming from under the dizzy. Its hard to tell. The oil is leaking and running down the tranny bellhousing. The rest of the engine is clean. I took a dab of the oil it and sniffed it, and there is no fuel or coolant smell. Strictly oil. What are the chances that this is a head gasket? The car is pretty much stock and has 200k on it. It runs very well for the mileage. Should I be worried that its maybe a head gasket?
