are there any CEL's, which there should be if its misfiring. pull all of the codes and see if the computer sees something you don't
the only cel is o2 sensor but it was on in the last kids car i bought the motor off a good friend i mean we pulled it out of his cr on the right stall and dropped it right into mine in the left stall of the same garage i think that it may be the distributor is bad and also i am using the ex ecu

wow i just looked at my originalk post and i didnt even realize the motor is a 95 and my car is a 93 my bad so now what im goin to try thr distributor and wires now but listen ok on the motor i got for the car the ex motor the map was on the throttlebody right well the old motor had the map on the fire wall now i have a map plug on the engine harness and also a map plug that comes from behind my battary to the map sensor on the firewall now how would i do this and also the map sensor on the fire wal calls for a vacume hook up no i switched to the throttle body so the vacume and the map sensor could be used from the fire wall should i be doin this or now and what should i be doin i feel the map has a huge affect with what is wrong so there for my final ? is this what throotle body what map sensor and what map sensor plug should i be using?????

if you have the ex engine harness you need to use that plug on the harness and the throttle body from the ex. the map will make that big of a difference if it is not hooked up right.
ok im goin to switch it back then today and also when i did have it like that it was throwing a cel map code why is this aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i have obd1 wiring it sux soooooo bad
and also im goin to switch the distributor to me it seems like it not firing right even if i out the plug wires in the wrong order it doesnt reallt change at all is the distributor from my old 1.5 the same it was non vtec?

because the ecu needs to have the readin from the t/b mounted one. it doesn't work right with the other.
your dizzy should work fine on it. its if you went from obd1 to obd2 it would be screwy. remember 1-3-4-2. if you need, take the cap off and look at what connection it is at when you have the motor at TDC. thats your #1 wire...and so on.

question.
i have 2 plugs for the MAP sensor. it would be hard to mistaken which connection goes where cuz the connector for the MAP sensor that is mounted on the firewall is alot shorter than the one that goes ontop of the TB
my question is . i have all my connectors plugged in but the MAP sensor on the fire wall really isnt serving a purpose. it just sits there and so what i did was just capped it off since i dont have an extra vacuum port available.
