supercharging a sohc

i have a 92 si hatch and im wanting to keep the z6 motor, and possibly supercharge it. the motor has the basics, AEM cold air, DC sport header, and a cat back system. what do i need to get some decent hp out of it?

You guys knew what he meant, so what does it matter.

Anyway.....

Depending on you power goals supercharging may be a good choice. more low end than what a turbo will give, and a decent gain up top. very low maintenance too.

Turbo on the other hand, can give better results on top end. yes it kinda sucks on low end but depending on the turbo you get it could spool up pretty quick. overall turbos are better for our cars because of their relatively low torque is not great to drive a supercharger.

like i said it depends on how far you want to take your car.

i have a z6 also with plans on SC it. im leaning towards a vortech sc. (basically tha cold side of a turbo) u can also run an intercooler with vortech as to where jackson racing you cant b/c it takes place of your intakeMani. JR makes a great product. only bad thing ive heard of is it has problems with heat..

I can vouch for the heat problem. I had a JR and the manifold got so hot it cracked open.
Also take a look at the sticky posted at the top of this section. They're really usefull.
