timing belt slight hick up

ok so to get the crank pully golt off I did the little trick of jaming a screw driver into the flywheel to spot it from sining.

but now when I go to put the flywheel dust cover back on the drivers side axle block the top of the dust shield form sliding in nicley.

I have tried to tap it in or turn the axle to make it go in but nothing so far, Ill mess with it some more tommorow but some tips would be GREAT .

meh I said fuck it and I just trimed the lip that was interfering with the axle. should be fine all is done, now all I need is a new alternator belt and DONE smile.gif

come to find out my car had mods I didnt even know about, there is an unorthodox racing underdrive pully on it. Once I took it off I cleaned it up and I was like WTF???? previus owner must have had it on there, meh o well might be good for an extra pony or two smile.gif
