Transmission, bad syncros or bad clutch adjustment?

So I recently put a new motor and transmission into my civic. The motor is great, but the transmission has a little trouble going into gear. Must of the time I have to either rev the motor up slightly, or wait until I'm stopped before I'm able to shift down. I'm not too experienced with transmissions, so I'm not sure if the syncros in the tranny are bad, or if it's just a poorly adjusted clutch..

I'd like some input on this as well. I'm having the same problem only I have trouble getting into reverse.
